Can Copilot change my data on its own?
No. Consequential writes go through prepare → review → confirm. Copilot assembles the action and shows you exactly what it will do; nothing is written until you approve it.
What can it actually see?
Your customers, jobs, schedule, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, receipts, workers and bookkeeping — inside your business only. Every read is scoped to your workspace, the same as any other user in the app.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT?
A general chatbot has no idea who owes you $1,180 or which accepted quote never got scheduled. Copilot answers from your live records, so it returns names, amounts and next actions rather than generic advice.
Can I talk to it instead of typing?
Yes. Copilot supports voice, which is the realistic mode when you are on a dock or under a vehicle rather than at a desk. You can also attach photos, documents and receipts as context.
